Review
The first 'British'
offering from Dragon is, in my opinion, one of the best
figures so far. The Neo body has a head sculpt that has a
youthful, but determined, look.
The figure depicts a Royal
Navy Marine Commando corporal. He is dressed in khaki blouson
jacket and trousers. He has black 'ammunition' boots with
short cloth gaiters (leggings) that actually fasten - a nice
touch! He has a green 'flocked' beret with separate badge.
He is provided with cloth
webbing and ammo pouches that are opening together with a
fully featured back pack or Bergen. The Bergen is destined to
become a Dragon classic it is so good!
He also has an entrenching
tool, that breaks down into two parts, with carry case
The finish and quality of
all the parts and accessories is excellent as is usual from
Dragon. The insignia and rank chevrons are self adhesive and,
on my figure, do not stick all that well - still, not
insurmountable!
The figure is supplied with
a 'Sten' gun that features a working bolt (as seen with
Fallschirmjäger Meyer), and a Thompson US pattern sub-machine
gun.
Only one slight niggle - NO
HELMET. Still with other figures due out with steel helmets
that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Overall:
A brilliant example of a 1/6th scale figure, well deserving of a high star rating,
that should be in any WWII collection. Get one!
