Dave, Sergeant, 1st Infantry, Normandy, 1944

Star Rating:

The figure is the first U.S. soldier figure from Dragon and depicts a sergeant from the 'Big Red 1' infantry division, Normandy 1944. The figure wears a complete uniform of shirt, M1943 trousers, M1941 field jacket with insignia and rank markings, M1 steel helmet with liner and brown service shoes with separate moulded plastic leggings. He is equipped with a plastic 'webbing' belt with M1910 water bottle (cover and removable bottle), M1916 .45 cal. pistol and holster, pistol magazine pouch, first aid kit and fighting knife with scabbard. He carries a webbing shoulder bag and is armed with a Thompson machine gun which has a removable magazine with spares.

Review

A very nice figure with clothing and equipment to the usual high standard. I particularly like the M1 helmet and the Thompson sub-machine gun. I had to replace the figures belt due to breakage of the plastic buckle. The head sculpt is good but the trousers are a bit on the narrow side for authenticity.

Overall a very good figure.
