Marius: I think
this is another really nice figure . He was produced to mark
the 60th anniversary of the battle of Kursk, arguably the
greatest tank battle of all time.
Another new head sculpt is provided that
has the look of steely determination.
The figure is dressed in the black tanker
wrap tunic and black trousers with Iron Cross ribbon and tank
combat badge applied. The collar and national insignia are
self adhesive loose items. The wrap jacket has the new style
shoulder boards with appropriate waffenfarbe. The jacket is
fastened with buttons and elastic cord ties; this is a nice
authentic touch but in 1/6th scale is a real eyesight tester
and decidedly fiddly with 1/1 scale fingers!
Marius has also been supplied with a one-piece
mid-grey over-suit that is
nicely done, but it is a real shame to cover up the nice tunic
and trousers!
Marius has a black Heer side-cap that, when put
on, doesn't look too bad.
Some of the equipment has 'weathering' or
'wear' applied as standard which, although not overdone, can
look strange when put on a figure with 'pristine' uniform!
However this doesn't detract from the overall look of the
figure.
Overall:
Another good tanker figure from Dragon. Get one for your
collection.
