Scott, Private, 4th Infantry Division, Normandy, 1944

Star Rating:

This figure is the second in the US WWII series and depicts a private from the 4th Infantry, Normandy, 1944.

The figure wears a complete uniform of shirt, M1943 trousers, M1941 field jacket, M1 steel helmet with liner and camo netting, and brown service shoes with separate moulded plastic leggings. He is equipped with a 'webbing' belt with magazine pouches, M1936 'suspenders', M1910 water bottle (cover and removable bottle), first aid kit, entrenching tool in cloth cover and bayonet with scabbard. He is armed with a Garand rifle complete with three 8 round ammo clips and two fragmentation grenades.

Review

The head sculpt is very nice and the uniform is well made and detailed as is the equipment. I particularly like the Garand rifle which features a working bolt action which enables a magazine clip to be inserted into the rifle - a nice touch! The netting on the helmet distorts the inner liner but you have to look hard to notice it. The moulded leggings are adequate but would be better in cloth.

Overall a nice figure.
