Melo and Capitello Lakes

The coach took us up the Restonica valley to the end of the road at the Bergeries de Grotelle (1370m). There is a car park and a cafe here. From the car park we took the path up to the Lac de Melo (1711m), part of this route uses wide metal ladders to get over some rocky outcrops. From Lac de Melo some of the party returned to the cafe, whilst many of us continued up the rocky path to Lac de Capeitello (1930m). There was a bit of scrambling on this path. Descent to the car park was via the same route as the ascent. On the return to Corte, the coach stopped at a farm for us to sample and buy some local cheese.
