Todays walk of about 5 miles was to the nearby resort of St Gilgen on the Wolfgangsee. Leaving Fuschl near the church we walked through the underpass on the main road and along a path leading us to the Kneipp water gardens. This where you walk through water (very cold) on stones/pebbles of various sizes. After Jackie had braved the water we continued on past the summer toboggan run and a pleasant stretch alongside a stream before coming out on a road near the hamlet of Ellmau.

We walked along the road for 1.5 miles until we reached Gasthaus Hochlackenhof where refreshments can be obtained. We then started to climb on a path up towards the viewpoint known as Mozartblick where there are impressive views to St Gilgen and the Wolfgangsee. The shortest way down to St Gilgen from here is down a very steep path probably not suitable for Dennis's mum so we went a longer way via the hamlet of Reith.

We had a short walk around St Gilgen and afternoon tea at Cafe Nannerl before catching the bus back to Fuschl. The bus stop at St Gilgen is next to the Zwolferhorn Cable car station on the main road at the edge of the village.
