Marienkopfl and Eibensee.

This walk was about 8 miles and 400m of ascent, but it was a there and back walk from Fuschl. We walked up through the village and up the main road a short distance before picking up the Eibensee forestry track. The path rises gradually through the forest. As you get to the point where the path to Eibensee leaves, the track starts to go up more steeply. After a while the path to the Marienkopfl leaves the track on the right and leads to the Marienkopfl which is a crag overlooking the Eibensee. The last section is steep so we left Dennis,s mum at the bottom of the crag whilst the rest of us got to the top.

After admiring the views we walked down to the Eibensee and a walk along the side of the small lake before returning to Fuschlon the forestry track. We had the weekly free afternoon tea at our hotel sitting on the terrace.
