As we were so close to Salzburg we all thought it would be worthwile visiting the city. We caught the local service bus to Salzburg getting off near the Mirabell gardens. We spent some time walking around the gardens before walking across the river and looking around the Old Town. It was a very hot day and with all the people we decided to seek a bit of peace and quiet and headed up towards the castle and Monchsberg one of the hills overlooking the city.
We walked across to the Richterhohe where we got some drinks from a cafe and continued north coming down to the river near the Mullnersteg bridge. We returned to Fuschl on the bus and had our final afternoon tea of the holiday at the Rosengarten cafe..
