Trogalm (1862m)

You are at: Home > Heiligenblut walks > Trogalm

This was the first of our three visits to the Trogalm, a stone built hut in a forest clearing close to the Leitertal. Although a popular stopping place there are no refreshment facilities here. We started from the hotel by walking down to the river bridge and across along path 7, taking the diversion to the Gossnitz Waterfall viewing points. We then continued on path 3, which zig-zagged up the hill, giving good views looking back. We walked past the Bruchalm before turning off on path 5, which is a pleasant path through the forest leading to the Trogalm. From the Trogalm we descended down through the forest still on path 5, with good views of the Leiter Waterfall from the path. The path then joins path 1 which leads to the Briccius Chapel and onto the Blumensteig. Finally we took path 3 past the Krauterwandstueberl (resfreshments available here) and the Wolfgangkapelle back to the hotel.
