Mayrhofen Frauenwand

This walk was to a peak we had climbed in our first visit to the area 17 years before. This time we varied the walk by taking a different rout up to the peak.

We caught the bus to the Cable Car station at Hintertux and took the first stage of the cable car to the Sommerbergalm. From here we walked up to the Kaiserer Scharte and then along a grassy and rocky ridge to the Frauenwand and then onto the Weissewand. From here we descended down to the Tuxer Joch Haus and then through the Weitantal valley to the village of Hintertux and the bus home.
