This walk took us over the border into Italy. We took the bus to the Schlegeis reservoir and walked alongside the water to the Zamsergrund. We walked up this valley to the border with Italy, there is an old customs house there but it is no longer used. A short distance into italy is the Pfitscher Joch Haus our destination for the day. After a refreshing beer and taking in the views we retraced our steps back to the reservoir for the bus to Mayrhofen.
