The walk today was back to the Serrella range, just south of Quatretondeta.
We walked from the village up the PRV24 path to the Collado de Borrell. Rock formations abounded (Flickr) en route. The PRV paths are well marked with signs and yellow and white paint stripes.
From the col we climbed a steep path across onto a plateau with another impressive ice house / snow well, before making our way to the peak of the Pla de la Casa. This is the highest peak on the Serrella ridge and there are excellent views from here.
From the summit we returned to the col (and lunch stop) by a path which afforded a more gentle descent. We then visited Africa, this is a hole in the rock whose shape resembles that of the continent. It is a bit of a scramble to get up into Africa - Jackie only made it with head and shoulders - leaving her feet in Spain.
We then took an interesting "short cut" though woodland to pick up a forestry path, this led us down through terraces to the minibus, near the village of Benasau.
We were back at the hotel whilst it was warm and sunny - so we all went onto the restaurant terrace for a well earned and relaxing drink.
