As we are running out of space on our web site we have just included 2 photos - but we have put a full set on Flickr.
May 2009 - mixed weather - so some epics and some gentle strolls.
Based at www.morenishmews.com
This is a little way outside Killin - and is aimed at couples. The owners Ken and Catherine were very thoughtful - providing daily
weather forecasts, information, growing herbs, a wonderful garden and playing hosts to a varied selection of birds and animals.
Woody the woodpecker merits special mention - but always camera shy!
On the way up we had the morning in Stirling, ambling around taking a few photos.
Sunday - we did Beinn Dearg - the red hill - a corbett - from Glen Lyon, so a good excuse to finish in the Glen Lyon tea shop.
Monday - we set off to do another corbett but it was raining, the ground was boggy and rough and there was no path - so Jackie revolted and we returned to the car and
did some paths on south side of Loch Tay - no photos save one of the lichens.
Tuesday - another wet day - did forest walks from Killin. The Falls of Dochart at Killin were in full spate.
Wednesday - did the Kerrowmore Forest Boardwalk - super walk and you can stop off at the tea shop at Glen Lyon. Dennis nicked the last scone.
Thursday - This day we climbed Ben Lawers the ninth highest mountain in the UK, to be greeted by snow falling on the top - it was wet snow so did not consolidate.
We started from the visitor centre car park.
Friday - best weather day - we did the Carn Mairg group - from Invervar in Glen Lyon. Tops included Carn Gorm, Carn Mairg and Meall na Aighean.
If you would like any more detail of walks please drop us a line and I'll get Dennis to dig out the detail.
