| The weather had changed after our walk to the Monte Rosa Hut, we had a day off the next day
but still no improvement on the weather front.
The Schonbiel Hut is a long walk from Zermatt, but can be shortened on the way out by taking the cable car to Schwarzsee. When we alighted from the cable car we found that the rain had turned to snow, although at this height it had not settled. we made our way to the Schonbiel Hut (2695m) for soup and hot chocolate. The weather cleared and we had some excellent views on our long walk back down the Zmutt valley to Zermatt. |
