In this painting, On the beach, I have tried to evoke the feeling of one of those rare summer days when the air is so clear that the colours of everything you look at seem magnified into their primary colours. The beach is empty and all you can hear is the rhythmic caress of the sea on the shore and the calling of the gulls as they argue over morsels of food.

Guess it's time to slip on a T-shirt, slap on a hat and slop on some suncream and put brush to canvas!
