LOW D 2PCE FROM ALUMINIUM
D - These could be played in the same style as a 'D' Penny Whistle. They can be very shrill in the top octave but have a lovely tone. These fifes can be played in the keys of 'D' and 'G' accompanying other instruments.
C# - This is the traditional key for Lambeg fifing. .
Bb --These fifes are tuned to the same pitch as a 'Bb' Penny Whistle and are used for re-enactment society fife and drum corps.
Bb (high pitch) - These fifes are in the same pitch as the 'Bb' high pitch marching band flutes
A - This is a great fife for playing any tune in the key of 'A' when accompanying other musicians. It has a deep mellow tone and is suitable for 'Folk Style' music
FOLK FLUTES & FIFES Low D 2pce -- these instruments have corked tenons for a snug fit into the flute head .This also allows for some tuning of the instrument These flutes are approx 630 mm long and can have brass or stainless steel ferrules. They have a tone and a good range from low D to A# .They are becoming popular in the traditional music scene
