May I introduce you to Diddl.....

For my 15th birthday, my best friend Sarah gave me some unusual presents. I had never seen Diddl before until that day, but I instantly fell in love with this adorable German mouse!

Diddl was born on 24th August 1990, when the creator of Diddl, Thomas Goletz made his very first drawing of his mouse! While Thomas was creating his first series of Postcards featuring his new Mouse, the name instantly popped into his head, and has stuck! Diddl is made by a company called Depesche and can be found in shops in Austria, Denmark, Italy, France, Holland, England, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, and even in the USA.

Depesche is a small company in Geesthacht near Hamburg in North Germany with about 300 employees.

The logo, seen below has unique writing which was made by Thomas Goletz himself especially for Diddl. He wanted writing that suited Diddl and his character, and now there is a whole Diddl alphabet which is used on the Diddl website!

Diddl is produced in two colours for plush products and plastic figures - white and grey. When the first plush samples were created there was also a grey Diddl, which everyone liked so much, so Diddl was produced in White and Grey. Although on cards and other products, he remains white!

Diddl also have a brilliant website for collectors - www.diddl.com! I especially love the drawing lesson with Diddl, and all the cool stuff to do. My favourite thing on the site has to be the CD samples! I don't know what they're singing but it sounds good to me!
