There's something amazing on TV right now! ;-)

Carte Blanche Greetings, always an innovative company, have begun a TV advertising campaign! The first from Me To You, it features a brilliant Stop-Motion Tatty Teddy, decorating his Christmas tree. The advert is stunning! It's definitely the best advert I've seen on TV - it's like a mini-movie! In our family, we have a very soft spot for Tatty Teddy and it brought tears to our eyes, he's THAT adorable!

Well Done to CBG! They always surprise us with each new thing they introduce! And they do everything so very well! The advert clearly had a lot of time and money spent on it, it's such a high standard advert!

From today, it's on ITV1, ITV2, Paramount, E4, Living TV, Living TV 2, Dave and more! I'm also very glad that CBG chose to purchase advertising on the ITV 1 channel, as I'm sure this will be where it reaches the biggest audiences. I made sure to watch the advert when it came on Dave today, but it seemed a little out of place in amoungst the tacky heartburn tablet commercials! ITV is sure to be a good place for Tatty Teddy to touch the most hearts!

The advert isn't even advertising anything in particular! It's a sweet 'Happy Christmas' message! Which is why it's so perfect! The guys at CBG know how to send a subtle, loving reminder that Tatty Teddy is here and perfect for gifts. Tatty Teddy has always been cute and understated, which is why this greeting from him is perfectly suited to the bear!

I'm off out now, to buy more Me To You products! My favourite Me To You bear, who named 'Basil' after Basil Fawlty, is sure to need more friends! ;-)

Be sure to scroll down at: http://starringmetoyou.com/ to see the full listings of when the Me To You ad will air. Also see the site for wallpapers and behind the scenes!

Carte Blanche Greetings are always adding to the ever-popular Limited Edition Series, and this one has to be one of my favourites. I remember going to speak with the company a few years ago about what could be done to make Me To You bears appeal to the collectors - seems like they are doing a great job of hitting the gift market and also the collectors market! And what a great way of adding to that collectibility - creating internet-only limited editions! So, there's some that are limited and in shops, and some which are limited and online! I wonder which will generate more buzz?

This is a great product I think, especially as I've noticed the Panda 'Binky' of the Blue Nose Friends being one of the biggest sellers! Incoporating a panda into another CBG product seems like a great idea!

Also, Talking of CBG - it's getting closer to the release of the new Blue Nose Friends! I think this is a great line for CBG and I hope it is as successful as the Me To You range. It's a shame that the adorable Teddy Big Foot and Bobble didn't quite live up to Carte Blanche's previous success with Tatty Teddy, and I really hope these Blue Nose Friends are a bigger hit! I personally love them and I think it's great that they are introducing newer sets of animals often.

The latest group of animals are in stores in October and feature a hedgehog! I really love hedgehogs and my garden is home to a few, so cannot wait to go into Clintons to see the new 'Conker'.

Trying to follow in the footsteps of the companies I've admired and wrote about on here (Ty Inc., Carte Blanche Greetings and Depesche), I'm trying to create my own business from my cards and jewellery. Have a look at www.rubywren.com for more info, or check out my Etsy Shop: http://rubywren29.etsy.com.

10th August 2008

After a little while out of the loop due to personal reasons, I glanced across the Ty.com homepage the other day and was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. I've stayed very much involved with Diddl but have lost touch with Ty and Carte Blanche a little. I'm hoping to get back into it and plan to share my thoughts on what has changed since I've been away.

Til next time...;-)

Tatty Teddy will be making a guest appearance in a shop in Cleveland during October. He can be found in 'Collectible China and Glass' on Portrack Lane, Stockton, Cleveland on Saturday 13th October 11am-4pm. Another great day out with Carte Blanche, it boasts raffles, competitions and prizes throughout the day. Their past days have been really great, so I'm sure this will be great too. Ooh Diddl's day at Harrods is getting nearer!

20th October for all who wish to attend! It's a Saturday so I can imagine there will be a great atmosphere in the Toy Kingdom. I've previously attended some of Ty UK's exciting days, and I have to say, with Depesche running this one, it is bound to be even better! Don't miss out!

7th Sept 2007

Diddl is going to Harrods! After over a year of being sold in Harrods, London, Diddl is having his own special day in October! It's on the 20th October if anyone wants to attend the Toy Kingdom Diddl Day!

7th Sept 2007

Last weekend was the Autumn Fair at Birmingham and I went along for a look. Unfortunately, as the Autumn Fair is the smaller of the trade fairs I attend, a lot of companies do not book a stand. There was, however, a large stand with many greeting companies having a small space each to show their latest pieces and Carte Blanche Greetings had a special display of their new Me To You figurines.

Until recently, the figurines were manufactured by Collectible World Studios, until the company went into receivership last year. Now, Carte Blanche themselves have taken the responsibility of these little figurines.

I loved the old figurines but these new CBG ones are stunning. The new designs feature plush-like fur, lights and fibre optics! The most impressive piece was a multiple snow globe, with little bears, scenery and battery-operated lights. The rep we spoke to was very friendly and told us that this was the new direction they were going in.

Apparently, a few people have found these new designs too different from the previous ones, but I feel that they are a development of the older bears. The new figures are very much similar to the plush products and have the same characteristics and look to them. They have tried to recreate the texture of the bear's fur, which make them look like the very earliest figurines, when the ceramic fur was jagged and fur-like.
