KEMPTON BEANIE FAIR

My first reaction when arriving at the Kempton Fair, was how few cars were parked in the car park. The Christmas Kempton show is always the big one and packed full of people. Once inside, there were less stalls than usual and some seemed like they were a jumble sale. The Leeds Beanie Centre had a really impressive display with loads of rare and old authenticated beanies. I even managed to get a tag-less Peace for just £1! On a different stand it was sad to see a huge box of Chubbleys marked down from £5.99 to £2.50.

I noticed that there were very few Peace bears being sold and no sign of Coral the ty-dye fish at all and we looked hard!

The PBBAGS stall was the best we saw. They had a row of boxes with rare beanies such as Inky tan with mouth, the Dino trio, Flutter, the rare versions of Tank and Mystic, Teddy OF brown, Bumble...and more! It was amazing to watch how the guys authenticate! The PBbags  authentication service was being run by Jake and Jordan Sadoff, Scott and another guy who they borrowed and was learning the art of authentication. They told us that they taught him how to box and seal authentic beanies in just 20 minutes. I couldn't believe how quickly it took them to identify the beanies as authentic or fake! They said they can tell almost straight away just by the fabric, the stitching and by the tag. They also showed us the new certificate and stickers which they saved to introduce at the fair.
