My Cameras.

The first camera I purchased when I decided to take photography seriously was a second hand Nikon FM2. This is a very basic camera with only a few manual controls and it is very easy to use once you learn the fundamentals of exposure. You set the film speed, aperture value and shutter speed yourself but it does have a very good meter to assist you in selecting the right exposure. I found this camera to be a great learning tool with it's basic functions. I still own and still enjoy using this camera today. It is also compatible with almost every lens ever produced by Nikon.

I now also own a Nikon F100 and this is the camera I use most often.  It took me a lot longer to get to know this camera with all of it's controls and custom functions but it is a joy to use and very reliable.  I had considered the Nikon F80 but the meter on this body does not work with the manual lenses I already own. The only thing I don't like about my F100 is that I can't change film mid roll like I can on the FM2.

Together with the above cameras I have lenses from 24mm to 300mm which covers me for most of my shooting situations.

I use a Cokin P filter system but I only use a warm-up and a couple of ND grads. I also occasionally use a polarizing filter.

I have recently added a Nikon D100 digital camera to my equipment bag.

Most of the images contained in this website were taken using Fuji Velvia or Kodak EBX slide film but photos captured digitally are being added all the time.

My Web Site

My web site was created using Photoshop for the background, navigation buttons and banners. It was then put together with Front Page. All photos originated from slide film were scanned using a dedicated film scanner and then re-sized for web use.
