You may wish to print this page for future reference.

1. For users in the USA

Full access to most CompuServe forums via Internet Web browser is free. However, users must either use an established 'Screen Name' and 'Password' or request a new one.

For entry to the Motorcycle forum, it is most convenient to log on with an Internet browser to:
http://www.rideforum.com
Click on the underlined GO RIDE below the logo

You may be presented with a screen titled 'Forums'. You may enter your Screen Name and Password here. You may also click to place a checkmark next to 'Remember my password' to avoid entering this information each time you visit.

Existing Screen Name/ID and Password combinations that may be used:
- CompuServe 2000 - alphanumeric CompuServe ID and Password
- CompuServe Classic - numeric CompuServe ID (with comma) and Password
- CompuServe/AOL Instant Messenger - IM Screen Name and Password
- AOL - Screen Name and Password

Prospective users and those with none of the above may alternatively request a free Screen Name and Password by clicking 'Click Here' next to 'Get your Free Screen Name now!'.
Follow these steps, scrolling as necessary:
1. Enter your desired Screen Name.
(It may be difficult to find a Screen Name that is not in use. Combinations of names and numbers often work. You are not limited to the alternatives presented. You may continue to request Screen Names until you are successful in finding an available one to your liking. See limitations on screen.)
2. Enter your current E-Mail Address.
(Use a valid current E-Mail address, as CompuServe will E-Mail you requesting confirmation.)
3. Enter your Password.
(Passwords must be a combination of least 4 letters, numbers, and/or punctuation marks. Password and Confirm Password must be typed in exactly the same.)
4. Finished.
(Click 'Finished'. If you get the response '1. Enter a new Screen Name and your current E-Mail Address' either click a circle to the left of one of the suggestions, if acceptable, or click on the circle to the left of 'Desired Screen Name' and type a different Screen Name. Reenter your chosen Password and Confirm Password, then click 'Finished'. Repeat until successful.)
5. Check your email.
You will almost immediately receive a confirmation email from CompuServe. You MUST reply to this within 48 hours, following the instructions included in the email, or your account will not be activated.

A list of all available open CompuServe forums is located at:
http://www.gggforums.com/forums.htm
Scroll down the page to see the forum listing. Clicking on any of the blue underlined forum names from a Web browser will transfer you to that forum.

2. For users outside the USA

Full access to most CompuServe forums via Internet Web browser is free. However, users must either use an established 'Screen Name' and 'Password' or request a new one. Please follow the steps detailed below in the EXACT order.

It will first be necessary to change browser to US English (en-US), as follows:

In Internet Explorer 5.x:
- Start browser
- Click 'Tools'
- Click 'Internet Options...'
- Click 'Languages...'
- Click to highlight any entries under 'Language:'
- Click 'Remove'
- Click 'Add...'
- Scroll to and click 'English (United States)(en-US)'
- Click 'OK'
- Click 'OK'

In Netscape Communicator 4.x:
- Start browser
- Click 'Edit'
- Click 'Preferences...'
- Click 'Languages' under 'Category', 'Navigator'
- Click to highlight any entries under 'Language'
- Click 'Remove'
- Click 'Add...'
- Scroll to and click 'English/United States (en-US)'
- Click 'OK'
- Click 'OK'

Changing your browser's preferred language in this way will not affect any of its functions; you will still be able to access all of your favourite websites in the normal way.

You may now go directly to the Motorcycle forum using the following
http://go.compuserve.com/motorcycle?LOC=US

2. Enter your current E-Mail Address.
