SADF Mechanised Infantry Battalion	Morale: Regular

For operations in 1988-89 the AT Company comprises 2 Ratel ZT-3 ATGW vehicles.   2. Ratel 81 may be used after 1987   3. May be reinforeced with a tank company (see below)   4. SA-7 stands may be distributed as required between the Battalion HQ and the infantry companies.

Specialists may be assigned to companies as required.   2. HQ Stands may be equipped with Carl Gustav (although this weapon was rarely used in the field)   3. This organisation was used by the 51st - 55th Battalions.

32nd Light Infantry Infantry Battalion	Morale: Regular
Battalion HQ 1- HQ stand in Buffel APC 1 - Engineer stands in Buffel APC 2 - SA7 Stands   Support Company 1- Command stand in Ratel IFV 2- Ratel 81mm mortar, or 2- 81mm mortar stands in trucks   AT Squadron 3 - Ratel 90   AA Troop 2 - Ystervark 20mm SPAA   5 Infantry Companies 4 - Buffel Combat Teams 2 - Tracker stands	Notes   1. SA-7 may be distributed as desired between the battalion HQ and the infantry companies.   2. All infantry and HQ stands are equipped with RPG-7. No Carl Gustavs were used.

SADF 61st Mechanised Infantry Battalion	Morale: Veteran
Battalion HQ 1- HQ stand in Ratel IFV 2 - Engineer stands in Buffel APC   Mortar Platoon 2-Ratel 81mm   AT Company 2 -Ratel 90 2 - Jeep with ENTAC   AA Troop 2 - Ystervark 20mm SPAA (see note 3)   2 Infantry Companies 3 - Ratel IFV Combat Teams   1 Tank Squadron 3 - Olifant MBT   Artillery Battery 2 - G-5 155mm or 120mm mortar 2 - Tractors 1 - FO in Land Rover	Notes   1.Artillery battery can select 155mm or 120mm mortar depending on the mission. Weapon types may not be mixed   2. For operations in 1988-89 the AT Company comprises 2 Ratel ZT-3 ATGW vehicles.   3. SA-7 may be distributred as desired between the battalion HQ and the infantry companies.   2. All infantry and HQ stands are equipped with RPG-7. No Carl Gustavs were used.   3. In 1898 the anti tank company and mortar company were added to the 1st parachute battalinon to form the 14th Patachute Battalion Group.
