I enclose a copy of a letter sent last week to members of the Amicus NEC.
You will see that agreement has now been reached with Roger that he will formally leave the employment of our union at the end of June. This follows the decision of the Certification Officer in May that Roger must relinquish the post of joint General Secretary. Roger will be leaving on the same terms as other officers and staff of the union.
Roger has served our union and its predecessors for 38 years. I am sure all colleagues will join with me in recognising with gratitude his contribution to the trade union movement, and sending him our very best wishes for his retirement.
