Just a little about me !

I was born and raised in the city of Glasgow, and at the age of four I was christened David John. I can't remember what they called me before that, probably "Him", "It", or "That greetin faced wain", but anyway I got my own back on my mother a few years later, when I was able to call her "Granny".
I was married relatively young, well in retrospect I'm still too damn young, but I do have a lovely daughter, so every cloud does have a silver lining.
Apart from one year in London, I have spent my life living and working in Glasgow. Most of my working life has also been spent in one of the few Shipbiulding yards left on the river Clyde.
In fact when I think about it, I never even went abroad until I was in my 40's. I'm sure when I was young I got packed off to my auntie in Drumchapel, and told I was on my holidays. Later on I remember we would go to a wee house down the coast somewhere, or camping in Inver"bloody"ness, now what more could you ask for.
At least when I got a bit older I graduated to the Riviera, well the English Riviera, Torquay to be more precise. That was before we needed a passport to get into England, but they still only gave us 19 and 6 for a Scottish pound.
Anyway, I don't know about you, but I'm getting a bit depressed now, and don't know that I can read much more of this. So I'm off for a wee lie down, and maybe have a think about the "good old days".

A nice little place in the south of France.
Relaxing area, but far too quiet.

Coral Bay beach in Mini Paphos Cyprus.
A favourite place, with a big ex-pat community.

Central Rhodes. Great place, and very friendy people.
Prasonisi in the south is a must see.

2008

The jumper is off and the sleeves are rolled up,
must be the height of summer in Glasgow.
