A healthy turnout of 17 Solos attended the penultimate event of the 2005 travellers series at Loch Ard. They were treated to a pleasant Easterly breeze which held steady for the day, but not without usual shifts and holes sufficient to catch out the unwary!
Kevan Gibb made a clean sweep of three first places, but in race2 had to wait to the last lap to overtake Gil Cumming who had shot off from the start into a commanding lead.
Keith Milroy was sailing his newly acquired Solo, the famous 'Monolog', for the first time. He was on the pace from race1, and came second overall with two second places.
The event was most efficiently run, and enjoyed by all in this most attractive of venues.
