First Scottish Solo event of 2006, and the first time the Ben Ledi was held in its own right. The prospect of a F4 North Easterly at North Berwick seemed to scare off the travelling Solos. But the strong local contingent bolstered numbers to a respectable 14, and what a glorious day's sailing they had, in sun, waves and a pleasant NE force 3-2.
Race1 was very tight, with Robbie Wilson (WormitBC) winning just seconds ahead of Jim Sinclair (East Lothian YC) and Kevan Gibb (Largo Bay SC). Jim Sinclair won race2 with brothers Kevan and Derek second and third, and places changing throughout the fleet right up to the finish line. In race3 Jim Sinclair recovered from having to restart and pulled ahead, with Kevan Gibb second and Keith Milroy (East Lothian YC) coming through to take third in the famous Monolog.
A great way to start the season, and thanks to ELYC for a well run event.
