DUNDEE LIVE - BANDS TO WATCH!!

FAKE-Fake CD-EP

Six tracks of ferocious rock from Dundee band who've recently come out of hibernation with a reneweed sense of fire and energy. The opening track, "Better?", immediately lets you know where this power trio are coming from, as it erupts in a blitz of guitars with riffs churned out like rifle-fire as the bass thunders down below, the drums clatter and crunch and the solid, sung vocals give the impression of a nuclear Blue Cheer for the Metallica generation. Driving toward a guitar lead finale that is all heat and fast-paced dexterity, the song is a stunner. "Industry" starts with staccato riffing and hollered yet sung vocals from the mighty mid-range roar of the singer as the guitars once more whip up a storm and the rhythm section thunders and lurches. With a hint of metal rap to it, the effect is rocket-fuelled adrenaline as the band scorch and dive, a heavy metal thunder of riffing eventually taking hold as the arrangement twists and turns to excellent effect and the song returns to its treied and trusted angry path. "Pas'afist" also roars into life, this time with the vocals and arrangement much more urgent, almost fast-paced punk metal that thunders and drives, but not without the ever-important dynamics that the band know how to use to perfection, coming into play as the song ebbs and flows in a tornado of metal muscle, once more roaring and scorching with a sound that is both heavy and clear, a production that brings out the best in the band and another alleywayt of twisting, driving and structured metal mayhem. Three further tracks refuse to let up on the mighty metal assault as the band steams and erupts throughout, as red hot a power trio of molten rock that you'll hear and this is an EP that any self-respecting fan of rock hard, seriously driving, superbly played, executed and arranged modern metal, can't afford to miss out on getting.
