FALTER: With Description Comes Image CDEP

From Perth punk-core band, a 25 minute, 6 song EP that really roars into life, with some great songs that rally carry you along right from the beginning, as the trio unleash a barrage of furious riffing and urgent compositions, that aren't without their dynamics to make the effect even more pronounced as you find yourself almost unable to stay still as the songs rage and surge, sounding so darned addictive. The vocals are excellent, totally upfront in a more emotive emo style of things before taking off like a rocket as the bassist lets rip with a massive foundation that propels it all along while the drums drive a steel-tipped path of rhythmic density and furious pace, then dropping down to a saunter, still rock solid, before it al lifts off again. The songs are quite superb, their own original arrangements and furiously riffing sonic barrage adding to the effect as the guitar work throughout is at hurricane force but at no time do you feel overwhelmed by any of it. Over the course of all six songs, you're hooked and, while the live set is even more powerful and amazing than this EP might indicate, this is hard and loud, solid and structured, superbly played and delivered, all from a band who are really set to go places.
