Part two of the impending Scottish takeover of the indie-rock universe (Part 1 is provided by the accompanying debut CD from gellow Glaswegians Twin Atlantic) comes from the debut EP we have here. A zet of 5 songs which are strong, driving and rock seriously hard, yet which have an undoubtedly wider appeal than just the modern rock fraternity, being songs that would decidedly appeal to a more "indie" styled audience as well. With huge-sounding arrangements, soaring vocals and songs that are instant yet the wort of thing you'll be able to play over andover again without ever tiring of hearing, this band surges ahead with driving guitars, solid, flying lead vocals and impressive harmonies, dynamic arrangements worthy of the finest FFAF only way more inventive. The guitars ring, chime, riff, crunch and lift off throughout, ranging from delacate to attacking, but all delivered in an indie bloodstream powered by a heart of rock. The drums are solid and the bass providing the foundations on which the band can fly, as the always superb sounding vocals make the songs into something very special. You can't single out a song here - this is one EP that you are drawn to hear from start to finish, every time you put it on, a mark of the quality and performance, originality and enjoyment, that comes oozing from every driving pore of this band.
