Over the last few years we have started to stage demostration games at shows around the country. Our first was at Salute in 2000 when we put on our "Barbarian Conspiracy" game, set in Late-Roman Britain. The highlight of the game was James' superb scratch-built Roman villa, complete with lift-off roof and mosaic floors! The villa later acted a centrepiece to a similar game at the Leeds show in December 2000 where we won an award for best game. |

Our next demonstration was a rather hurriedly put together Renaissance affair, the hypothetical "Henry VIII's Invasion of France", featuring Lansknechts, Swiss, Irish, Gendarmes, Beefeaters and Henry himself. The rules for this game were a simplified version of "Warhammer Ancient Battles", which played quite well. We took this game to Salute 2001 |
| Our current game, for Salute 2002 and Partizan (and maybe more) is an American War of Independence battle, Camden. This was the largest American defeat of the war and is recreated in 25mm at a figure ratio if 1:10. In all there are nearly 700 figures on the table all painted, and where necessary converted, by Steve in just over a year (phew!). Figures are mainly Foundry and Perry Miniatures, with a few West Wind models from their "Sleepy Hollow" range.
