History

The East Thirsk Community Association was formed in 1985 with the aim of obtaining recreation land and a Community Hall for local voluntary groups and to provide recreational and play facilities for residents of East Thirsk.
The Association, which is a registered charity, has worked tirelessly with the help of local organisations, to provide the present excellent facilities.
The Community Hall - designed to the highest standards to meet the needs of residents - was opened in 1994, and is now a thriving multi-use venue for the people of East Thirsk.

In addition an annex to the hall is a fully equipped I.T. Resource Centre with Computers, tutor facilities and AV resource

Opportunities

The Hall is an ideal venue for regular meetings of voluntary groups, educational classes, special interest groups and for one-off events such as weddings, parties, dances, exhibitions, craft fairs and sports events

East Thirsk Community Hall offers the best all round facilities in the area including high quality sprung wooden floor, badminton court, ladies and gents showers, full disabled facilities, cloakrooms, fully equipped kitchen, stacking and folding chairs and tables - making this the ideal venue for private functions, regular user groups and entertainments
