Before Heathfield (pre 1790s)

Note:  It has not yet been proved that the BARDENs here are the grandfather & father of my Thomas BARTON of Heathfield.

Burwash, a parish adjacent to Heathfield, and latterly Mountfield, appear to be where my BARDEN (no longer BARTON) ancestors resided in the 18th century.
