LINTOTT marriages in Sussex

The Sussex Marriage Index covers all Sussex parishes from the start of the registers in the 16th century up to the start of General Registration in 1837. This index has just over 300 LINTOTT (and variant) marriages during this period. The largest number, 47, were at Horsham and cover the whole of the 300 years. No other parish has marriages covering all of this period. The nearest is Bolney with 15 marriages between 1615 and 1751. Other centres of LINTOTT marriages (Brighton, Chichester, Rogate & Walberton) only have marriages from the mid-18th century onwards - presumably the result of immigration.
