There are 136 places where WADEYs are recorded. Over half are in the south-east of England - 39 in Sussex, 20 in Surrey & 14 in Middlesex.
Sussex is still the WADEY heartland with 334 of the 754 recorded (44% of the total). London, Middlesex, Surrey & Kent bring the number up to 569 (75%), The IGI has significant numbers in Yorkshire and Scotland but by the time of this census these numbers had dropped quite dramatically.
