This is the Griffin that is on the groups "necker badge" it is taken from the coat of arms of the Wilmot family. This picture was scanned in from a part of the coat of arms that used to hang in the Wilmot arms public house in Chaddesden. On the back of the picture it says "Wilmot arms creation 1759 of Chaddesden Derbyshire" Records about the Wilmot family (The Sir Robert Wilmot Papers) family history can be found at the public record office of Northern Ierland.
