Outdoors 99/2000 awards
This year the 132nd Derby Spitfire troop decided to proceed with the outdoors 99-award scheme. In order to earn a series of badges that come together to make one large badge the scouts needed to go on scout camps and take part in scouting outdoors activities. The achievements are the silver gold and diamond awards
The silver award requires participation in the national commissioner's challenge, 4 nights away and 5 other scouting outdoors activities
The Gold award requires a scout to achieve the silver award and then go on to spend 3 more nights away and take part in 5 more outdoor activities.
