The Rotary Club of Nuneaton, is pleased to announce the Annual ‘Rotarwalk' around the more rural outskirts of Nuneaton. Since inception  ‘Rotarywalk' has raised over £85,000 in pledged sponsorship for local good causes.

'Rotarywalk' provides an excellent facility for a charity walk and each year the Rotary Club of Nuneaton organises a charity day.

Rotarywalk Sunday 26th April 2009

Our objective is to enable walkers to raise money by obtaining sponsorship for their efforts. Nuneaton Rotary Club appreciates that many charities are seeking to raise funds for their good causes and by organising the annual walk the Club is helping them.

Walkers may raise money for any charity of their choice it does not have to be a Rotary charity.

The "Rotarywalk" has proved to be a simple and effective way of fund raising for a wide variety of local voluntary organisations, whose walkers seek sponsorship for their own good cause. Local bodies who have benefited include:- Mary Anne Evans Hospice, People in Action, Local Stroke Clubs, MacMillan Nurses, Friends of Young Deaf, WRVS, Local Schools, Football and Sports Clubs, Scouts, Acorn Club and a variety of National Charities and Service Organisations with local branches.

The classic walk is a circular route of 21 miles, mostly along footpaths and bridleways but it is divided into several sections with marshalling stations on route. Everyone completing the route will receive a certificate celebrating their success! Additionally two other shorter routes of 5 and 8 miles have been created for the more casual stroller and family groups, who would prefer to just amble and perhaps enjoy a pub stop on the way?

Marshalling stations will be established at

Sandon Park

The Shuntings

Bermuda Village

The Lime Kilns

The Rotary Club organises the event on the understanding that you do the walking and seek out your own sponsors.
