Derwent launch Hi-Impact Domes
Derwent have launched the EX45 Hi-impact Dome Camera and EX45LED Dome IR Illuminator. The EX45 is hammer tough and extremely versatile for vandal prone indoor and outdoor installations. The unit combines great looks with ruggedised, vandal resistant design and is also conduit ready for immediate installation.
Developed by Derwent Systems Limited in the UK and Derwent Extreme CCTV, North America, this 1999 design is a watertight, hammer tough, extreme environment camera. It is comprised of a precision CNC-machined, anodised Aluminium base and a tough polycarbonate optically sound dome.
‘Smashing our dome camera with a baseball bat had a dramatic effect at the New York show, but we certainly weren’t expecting our bat to snap over our dome’, explained Jack Gin CEO of Derwent Extreme American Operations. ‘Unfortunately, everyone did not get to see how tough the ex45 really is. We’ve proven that an elegant camera can be ruggedised for brutal environments’.
The attractive and versatile EX45 operates in selectable 12VDC or 24VAC and is available in several colour and monochrome models with many options to allow the security professional to meet their performance requirements.
The EX45LED is the world first dedicated Infrared Dome.
