"Reggie Was A Nice Man ~ Everybody Loved Him ~ Always Did the Right Thing ~ Joyful to the Brim"
"You Guys Kill Me" drools the
American from behind his copy of The Times - "Even
Your Civil Wars Are Civilised" he declaires ... "All It Takes is one Lousy Mutt ... And Bang Goes Your Great
British Reserve"
Lousy Mutt indeed, they never told me they were going to describe me as a lousy mutt when they film my beautiful face, yes - you guessed it - the British Airways Bulldog is me - Da Reggie Dog, filmed during June 99 and screened on UK National TV from July. Well, I suppose you can't get much more British that a British Bulldog can you?
I had a very special girlfriend, her name was Nika and she lived in America.
But Nika had a heart murmer and needed lots of extra special lovin' from me, but she died. We all miss her very much - Rest In Peace My Sweet Nika
Reggie came to live with us in the June of 1998,
bought initially as a show dog. Unfortunately Reggie developed a problem in the
joints of his elbows which threw his gait, but we didn't mind - he's a great dog, full of
character and instead we did obedience. Reggie and Tania undertook a 10 week basic
obedience course - "Oh! a Bulldog" proclaimed the instructor on our
first lesson - but despite missing a couple of classes due to Doza's pups, we passed the
course and as a result were spotted by the casting crew sent to chose dogs for the British
Airways Advert.
