Following requests from our members, Teston Tours is returning to Brighton to see
the ever popular Holiday on Ice Show. The 2010 performance is called “Spirit” featuring
an exhilarating fusion of fire, air, earth and water is the theme of the sensational
new production, - “Spirit”. Celebrated Artistic Director Robin Cousins MBE and Choreographer
Karen Kresge have co-produced a cultural extravaganza of inspirational ice skating,
combining the natural beauty of the four elements with global traditions and modern
rhythms. A voyage from east to west, world-class ice skaters glide from sunrise to
nightfall, recreating the ethnic splendour of Asian cultures, ancient mysticism of
Stonehenge and tribal gatherings of Native American Indians. Earth awakens with the
sun rising in the east; ancient wise men evoke the wind and worship the mystical
forces of the tranquil element of air; a lively nymph plays in the beautiful water
garden and powerful dancers summon up the fire spirits. Musical Director, Maurice
Luttikhuis, explores the nature of the human spirit with an emotional and passionate
score, where the haunting melody of the Chinese Warrior ice dance contrasts with
the pulsing Hip Hop beat of the urban street dance number. Holiday on Ice and their
new production – “Spirit” – offers a complete entertainment experience for all ages,
with an international award winning set, dramatic scene changes, creative lighting
and a dazzling collection of over 350 extravagant costumes. Skaters tumble from the
sky in amazing, airborne gymnastics and spiral and dance on the ice with dynamic
energy, performing some of the most dramatic lifts ever choreographed in a Holiday
on Ice production. Before the Ice Show there is the option of an afternoon cream
