BRINGING AN INTERNATIONAL OUTLOOK BACK TO BRITAIN

The chance to travel and explore new cultures is surely one of the greatest rewards of a successful business career. Having spent six years in Japan and another four in Singapore, Diane feels she’s gained a wealth of experience and insight that can be applied to any market place.

Since her return from the Far East she has been renewing her UK business contacts and for that she has found her membership of the Institute of Directors to be invaluable. Obviously keen to maintain her strong links with Asia, she is often to be found at events organised by the China-Britain Business Council, the Japan Society and Asia House.

In recognition of her experience and seniority in her profession, Diane has recently become a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Marketors.

Somehow, despite the enormous effort that goes into her business activities, Diane has also managed to devote a great deal of time to a cause that’s particularly close to her heart, the advancement of women in corporate life. "So many products are bought by women," says Diane, "but you won’t find many women on the Boards of the companies who manufacture them."

It’s hardly surprising perhaps that professional women’s groups have been quick to make use of Diane’s talents. She is a Past President of the influential City Women’s Network in the UK, was formerly the President of Foreign Executive Women in Tokyo and also served as Programme Director of PrimeTime Business and Professional Women’s Association in Singapore, where she organised a number of highly successful events involving female celebrities.

A member of The International Alliance for Women (TIAW) for over ten years, she recently became their President. Diane continues to delight in working with women and organisations in the public , private and voluntary sector with whom she can share her world of experience. You can contact her here.
