Narborough Local History Society was formed in February 1991, after a series of talks on the history of the village given by David Turner the previous autumn generated considerable local interest.

The society has about thirty members and meets each month at Narborough Community Centre, except for August. The format for the year usually consists of an AGM and Quiz in December, an outing in the summer and visiting speakers for the other months.

The Narborough Airfield Research Group (NARG) is an independent group formed by members of the Narborough Local History Society some years ago to research and keep alive the memory of Narborough Aerodrome and the men and women who served there.

Members of the society have on many occasions been asked to give talks to local organisations and have given displays of photographs and archive material at numerous venues, including RAF Marham on the 75th Anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force, and the Royal Norfolk Show.

A newsletter is published twice a year and research into the history of the area is ongoing.
