Up to three evenings each week you'll find me at the Guildford Leisure center, at the Spectrum Bowl. There I play in three different leagues. Trios on a Monday, Fun Doubles on Tuesday evenings and more serious doubles on a Wednesday evening. The 01 - 02 season ended last August. I averaged about 182 in all leagues. Get a few good games over 200 but then too many about the 150 to 160 mark. Current league average is 188 over 240 games, with 73 scores of 200 plus and 19 series over 600.
Mondays is a trios league, Tuesdays is a fun doubles league and Wednesdays is a serious doubles league.
My highest score or pb, as they say, is 266. Scored that in October last year. This score included the last 10 in a row.
My highest series over 3 games is 702. Got that in November. Part of a purple patch. That score was made up of scores of 245, 243 and 214.
Clare & I occasionally go along for a few social games on a Friday or a Saturday evening with friends. Good fun with a group of people.
Cricket
Cricket used to be my summer game. On a Saturday or Sunday you'd find me playing for Old Woking. The home games are played at Queen Elizabeth Rd, just behind the Leisure Centre.
I'd bowl a bit, not as quick as I used to be but still manage to swing the ball about in the right conditions. Only get to bat when most of the rest have failed.
The body is not so keen as the mind and so I now take it very easy. Usually in a chair by the pavilion.
