Animal Rights page

I don't come here to preach or rant about animal welfare. I would just ask you to look through a few of the sites featured here. If it's one thing guaranteed to make my blood boil it's people who abuse animals whether it be experimenting on them, dumping unwanted pets on the streets to the scum of the earth, those who think it perfectly acceptable to kill wild animals for fun. I really hate those who continue to hunt (a contradiction in terms) they would be the first up against the wall if I had my way!!

I have been a vegetarian (trying to be Vegan) for about 7 years or so now and although I didn't feel immediate health benefits I now feel a million times better. I have much more energy and many of my previous health problems have cleared up through eating better foods especially by cutting out many dairy products . See below.

When I started as a veggie I didn't really think of the suffering caused in the production of dairy foods. Thanks to Viva I do now!! I only buy certain cheese & free range eggs. I don't drink cows milk because of the appalling stress caused to the cow who are forced to carry 20 liters of milk in udders designed to carry 2 liters. They are worn out at 5 years old through this and having to bare calf's as well. Factory farming of any kind is just so unnecessary and the big supermarkets who force the issue should hang their heads in shame. I stayed in a bed and breakfast near Shrewsbury recently situated on a dairy farm and I took the time to look at the cows. Some of them could barely walk because they are overloaded with milk. It was very distressing.

I am disgusted by the practise of vivisection (experimentation on animals) and I just can't get my head round how any human being could undertake such barbarities on defenceless creatures. As for the hunting brigade along with the liberty and livelyhood, Country Side
Storm-trouping Alliance mob what goes on in there tiny minds is beyond me. I love the country-side with all my heart but I don't wish to kill it's wild life for fun.
I'm so glad hunting has been finally banned but we can not rest on our laurels as the blood junkies have vowed to carry on. I'm disgusted that the Tory party have stated that they will repel the ban if they are elected. One reason i'll not be voting for them in the election.

Please go to the ritual slaughter link above. What is being done in the name of the Islamic and Jewish faiths is so revolting it makes me sick to the core. It's no wonder these people spend there time blowing each other to pieces when they treat animals this way!!
