Return to the Forbidden Planet, by Bob Carlton, performed by The John of Gaunt School
Meg and Becca tried to persuade me to go to see their school show, and I made up loads of excuses not to. But then I did anyway, and it was really rather good... technically much better than anything else I'd seen at a school - still haven't worked out how Meg managed to get to the piano without me seeing and then disappear backstage again without me seeing. As well as that, there were some nice lines, although it took a while to get used to the "campy 60s American space movie" feel. The soundtrack consisted of 50s and 60s songs of the type I used to like at the age f about 14, but much more inspiring when coupled with a stage full of short-skirted girls. ahem. In conclusion, nicely done - last night is tonight, July 19th!!
