Wonderful Copenhagen! |

| Sooz surprised me
with a 2-day trip to Copenhagen, the land of my ancestors. The weather
was great, the city beautiful. We had a great time and here are a few
photos for your enjoyment. (You know the drill by now; click on a

![]() We stayed at the SAS Radisson hotel, a skyscraper in the middle of the city, right across from Tivoli. It is a classic example of the International Style (if you're into that sort of thing). |
![]() Sooz had arranged for us to stay in the "famous" room 606. What's behind the door?? |
![]() Room 606 is maintained by the hotel exactly as it was on opening day, June 1, 1960. All of the furnishings (and much more) was designed by the Danish professor Arne Jacobsen. |
![]() Here's the other half of the room. You can tell I'm enjoying this!! |
![]() But, as cool as the room was, we did have to leave at some point. Here's Sooz in the modern lobby, dressed for dinner. |
![]() She found a wonderful restaurant in an old cloister. It was lit only by candles, and the food and atmosphere were superb. |
![]() The next day was lovely, so we walked all over the city. Here's the famous statue of the Little Mermaid at the harbor, posing next to sea monster! |
![]() We stopped in Churchill Park. Here's Sooz complementing the local beauty with her own. |
![]() Besides enjoying natural beauty, we stopped in a number of art galleries and design shops. |
![]() The trip ended as it began, with a refreshing libation served by the waterside. We had a great break! |
