Easter in Tokyo

While Sooz was away for a week's sailing in the Caribbean (see here), Grant and I decided to take a boys trip of our own. So we popped over to Tokyo for a few days (as you do)! We had a great time. Below are a few snapshots for your enjoyment.

We flew on All Nippon Airways, here in Club class, courtesy of a colleague. Quite posh!

Our first order of business was to go to Akihabara, the electric city.

We ate sushi for almost every meal, even breakfast! It was tasty, affordable, and a fun experience.

Here's a closeup of one of Don's choices. Yummy!

Akihabara was so much fun, we returned in the evening (after a nap).

This is a pet store in Roppongi, and yes they had two Corgi puppies. The Japanese pups are as cute as the English versions.

Next morning, we experienced rush hour, Tokyo-style. They have people who are employed to cram you into the cars. It was a bit scary!

This is the Asakusa Kannon Temple, one of the oldest in Japan.

Running around the grounds of  temple was- you guessed it- a Corgi!

We took a water taxi to Hama-rikyu Garden, an old Shogun's hunting ground preserved as a park right in the middle of the city.

The apple trees were blossoming everywhere, it was quite beautiful.

And no trip to Japan would be complete without a pilgrimage to the Apple Store in Ginza!!
