    • The Organisers' Network is for members, from any branch, working for any company, who believe that the Union has to organise in non-unionised companies in order to survive and be strong.

    The Organisers Network hopes to bring together people who are prepared to give a little time, with support, to help recruit members to the CWU and help get those members recognition of their union in their workplaces. Donald MacDonald, the Union's President this year, has volunteered to be Chair of the Organisers' Network and it is co-ordinated by Gerry Ryan of London, International Networks & City (LINC) Branch. The Network has the support of the Organising Department and the Network Organiser at Headquarters is Louise Chinnery.

     

    Our commitment is to ensure that you:

    are involved in organising campaigns

    receive briefingsreceive regular newsletters

    have access to training in organising methods

     

    It is hoped to run a course at either Alvescot or the Elstead in the coming months. Further details on this will be provided to participants in the Network as soon as they are available.

    The Union's main organising campaign is in Cable and Wireless Communications and most of our activities this year will be focused around CWC. However, the Network will always be willing to respond to local initiatives, wherever possible, so if you have ideas for campaigns in your area, get in touch!
