Opposite Maņana Maņana.

Light and airy with comfy settees and no loud music. Good beer which is reasonably priced. There is a restaurant upstairs. Worth a visit if you want civilised surroundings in which to enjoy your drink.

Ben says..........

Just thought I'd report on Lounge, which I went to for the first time last night. Got slightly uneasy vibes when I first entered as there seemed to be a lot of people wearing suits. This is definitely where Doncaster's chic crowd gather.

Black leather sofas are everywhere, and even the tables have leather on them. But there was a shortage of them when we went and I'm not too sure that the layout of this place made it easy to stand comfortably. For example, the DJ booth overlooks a load of leather chairs, whilst the only thing that could pass for a dancefloor is the large area you must traverse to get to the bar from the entrance. And the lights were a bit bright too.

Despite these minor criticisms, I like this bar. The vibe was laidback, even if everyone was very dressed up, thanks in part to the DJ-duo, knocking out a mixture of funky motown and laid back soul and funk numbers (Chaka Khan - Ain't Nobody, liked that one) - I'll try to ignore the occasional bum song (some tune that used the bass line from MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This - no!)

So in conclusion, I'd might go again here, a nice chilled out place to "Lounge".
