It was with much delight that I received an e-mail from Bob Gay in Maryland.
His grandmother Sarah McAlinden was born on Coney Island April 20, 1897. Her father James McAlinden was the island caretaker for Lord Charlemont. The above picture is of the McAlinden family taken in front of their house on Coney Island about 1905. In the picture below are Annie (nee campbell) holding Patrick, Sarah (my grandmother), Mary and James holding Kathleen.

His Grandmother emigrated from Armagh to the States in 1914 and returned only once in 1920 on her honeymoon. Bob's mom who is 76 and his sisters only remember hearing (and on more than one occasion, ) that their grandfather James McAlinden worked for Lord Charlemont.
